Individualism, BEB and the Illusion of “Painless Progress”
The following is taken from a 2019 talk given by Bob Avakian All this—even the seemingly more “benign,” or oblivious, individualism—links up with the repeated and stubborn insistence on chasing after the illusion of painless progress. If something makes people uncomfortable—and still more, if it holds out the prospect of sacrifice, necessary sacrifice, on their part—far too many people turn away from it.
